London Festival Opera brings together established artists from the major British opera companies, including the Royal Opera House, English National Opera and Glyndebourne Festival Opera, with exceptional young singers for a wide range of performances throughout the year.
Over the last decade the company has achieved a considerable reputation for presenting opera in theatres, concert halls, country houses and large scale outdoor venues.
World Class Performances
Recent engagements overseas have been in Rome, Venice, Trieste, Paris, Hamburg, Montreux, Monte Carlo, Barbados and Moscow. Venues in the United Kingdom include St James’s Palace, Hampton Court Palace, 10 Downing Street, The Victoria and Albert Museum and at the Windsor, Salisbury and Chelmsford Cathedral International Festivals. Most recently London Festival Opera appeared as a guest company in one of the world’s most prestigious opera houses, the Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice.

Before Queen and Country
These engagements have included performances in the presence of senior members of the British Royal Family on many occasions. Recent engagements overseas include in Moscow during the state visit of Her Majesty The Queen, The British Embassy in Paris, for The President of Malta at the Palace in Valletta, and in a Gala Concert in Hamburg with the City of London Sinfonia for an audience of 5,000.
The company has recorded a CD at Trafalgar Park entitled Country House Opera.
