David and Victoria Beckham, Wayne Rooney, Sven-Goran Eriksson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho all feature in a new one-man show celebrating the language of football.
A Unique Show
Football Fanatical: An A-Z of the Beautiful Game, the brainchild of freelance broadcaster and journalist Grahame Lloyd, is a mixed bag of commentary, quotation, poetry, prose and the occasional song.
A light-hearted look at the language of football used by managers, players, reporters, commentators and supporters, based – more or less – on the length of a football match – depending on the amount of stoppage time added on for audience applause!
Grahame Lloyd has commentated and
reported on football for a number of
organisations including BBC Wales,
ITV Sport, Talksport, The Independent,
The Guardian and The SkySports
Football Yearbook. A published poet,
he has performed his work through
the rural arts touring scheme and on
BBC Radio.
Grahame has written books
on the former Liverpool midfielder,
Jan Molby, Cardiff City's centenary and
footballers who have played once for
their country and he wrote and
published Hard Man, Hard Knocks, the
autobiography of Terry Yorath, the
former Wales captain and manager.
