Inspired by Eva Cassidy’s extraordinary voice from the age of 15, Zoe dreamed of one day creating a production that would honour one of music’s most cherished artists. Life, however, took her on an unexpected journey. Years of personal adversity and loss meant that dream had to wait, but it was never forgotten.

Created in memory of her late mother, FREEBIRD is a heartfelt celebration of Eva Cassidy’s timeless music, performed with honesty, warmth and deep respect for the original recordings. Featuring beautifully crafted arrangements and stunning live vocals, the show captures the emotion, intimacy and musicality that made Eva’s interpretations so unforgettable.

Audiences are taken on an unforgettable journey through beloved classics including Fields of Gold, Songbird, Over the Rainbow, Autumn Leaves and many more, performed with sensitivity and authenticity.

Superb backing from accomplished musicians

J Fashole-Luke, pianist and backing vocals – a multi instrumentalist who’s performed on ‘Later … with Jools Holland’ and with top names such as Alexandra Burke, Dolly Parton and Usher.

Eric Rupert, bassist – has recorded and toured with top artists all over the world such as Roger Daltrey, Dizzy Gillespie and Dolly Parton. He’s performed at the Royal Albert Hall, the Hollywood Bowl and Glastonbury.

Ben Kill, drummer and vocalist – has performed at The Vortex, 606 and the Barbican and at festivals such as Glastonbury, Victorious, and Isle of Wight.
